MY MENTAL HEALTH JOURNEY

Hey!

It's been a while - but given that it's MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH I just wanted to drop in to talk about my OWN Mental Health journey.

When you're someone who's been in broadcasting for much of their life, people assume you walk a gilded, friction-free path.

NO. Very much not.

I've walked through some spectacularly tough seasons in life.

  • DIVORCE

  • MISCARRIAGE

  • REDUNDANCY

and many, MANY other dark seasons.

Some of them I share.

Some of them I choose not to talk about.

These days?

Peri-menopausal ANXIETY is a new addition!

I also get S.A.D in the Winter months.

I often get asked about being "positive and happy all the time".

This week - I received a DM and wanted to share:

OF COURSE I have days that are less productive than others...

OF COURSE I have days when I need to look after myself more ...

BUT - I REFUSE TO LET ANXIETY DEFINE ME.

I use ALL of my coaching and mindset techniques to equip me to SHOW UP,

no matter what. Because - as I said in the message above - I'm not about to allow anxiety to wipe years off my life!

I've got too much I'm here to do, IMPACT only I can have.

And SO HAVE YOU!

SO - do whatever you know will support YOU on your journey!

MY HACKS?

  • Feeling CONNECTED

  • Fresh air

  • Sunshine (thank goodness summer has finally shown up!)

  • Drinking enough water

  • Eating well

  • Avoiding too much alcohol

  • HRT - to support my hormones

  • Getting out in nature

  • Moving my body

  • Yoga - really helps my anxiety and keeps me present

  • Getting enough sleep

  • Epsom salt baths

  • Gratitude

  • COACHING TOOLS & TECHNIQUES

  • MINDSET

I hope that's helpful in some way.

AND if you want CONNECTION right now plus support with COACHING TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES and MINDSET I'm SO excited to be able to support you in THE LIMITLESS COLLECTIVE - my membership. It's THE most gorgeous group of women already.

I appreciate you sharing your journey with mental health." Your emphasis on self-care and resilience strikes a deep chord. This brings to mind a nursing student I supervised who struggled to balance clinical rotations with her dissertation while studying pediatric palliative care. She used nursing dissertation help UK to turn her research turmoil into a systematic study, allowing her to put patient care and her own wellbeing first, just like you stress the importance of appreciation and support networks 1. Whether managing academic rigor or mental health, effective scaffolding transforms stress into meaningful advancement. How do other people "design" their support systems to meet the conflicting demands of life?
