You know me - I'm such a summer bunny! So given the chance to add in a bit of summer bright and a bit of garden pimping in the shape of these stunning cushions from Holi Cow and I'm ALL IN!
The brainchild of Amita Butler these incredible, vibrant fabrics are waterproof, stain-proof and fade-proof! Which makes them perfect for families – indoors AND outdoors, ALL year round!
AND British made. Aside from Channing Tatum hand delivering (!) what more could you possibly want?
If you stood still in my garden for 2 minutes this week, I’d probably have hosed you down with the jetwash – even the trampoline is glistening and sporting a new net and surround – plus furniture has been built! I’m blitzing the garden and everything is clean, bright and fresh.
My beloved Moroccan Lanters, bought in Marrakech on holiday with Trey about 15 years ago – have even had a bit of love from a can of spraypaint!
As are my gorgeous cushions which really need to be seen to be appreciated. The quality is gorgeous, the colours are SO vivid and, well, I’m a bit in LOVE! So – what’s the story behind the brand?
Well, as always with gorgeous companies, it’s a good one!
In Amita’s own words:
“Having spent my childhood between Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and India, I grew up surrounded by colour. The highlight of the year was always the Indian festival of Holi when the whole country celebrates the end of winter by taking to the streets to throw brilliantly coloured powders with abandon.
Fourteen years ago, I left London and moved to Barcelona with my family. Over time, frustrated by what was on offer, I began thinking about bringing those amazing colours to outdoor living spaces….taking into account the realities of children, pets, entertaining and the weather! Inspired by the colours and patterns of my childhood, I wanted to bring that holiday feeling home. After researching the available choices, I decided to create my own fabrics and products for outdoor/indoor living.
Many outdoor fabrics are stiff and dull, sacrificing look and feel for durability, not ours! I literally scoured the world and finally found the perfect fabric, soft enough for adults and children to snuggle on and yet durable enough to cope with any climate. With quality being a priority, I decided it was crucial to manufacture in the UK, I am very proud that Holi Cow can genuinely claim to be “Made in Britain”.
I love her story – I love the range!
